WHY BROWN’S GAS IS SUPERIOR TO H2 FOR STEEL COMPANIES
Starting first with hydrogen.
Piping in hydrogen is not a clean energy solution.
Hydrogen is the lightest of all molecules and it is notorious for its ability to leak from flanges, union joints in pipes, and valves. So long-distance pipelines and on-site storage facilities are sources of global warming. Once hydrogen escapes to the atmosphere, it rapidly reacts with and consumes natural oxidants like ozone and hydroxyl radicals. The ozone protects Earth from ultraviolet radiation, and hydroxyl radicals destroy pollutants in the Atmosphere.
These fugitive losses are why recent studies estimate the indirect global warming potential of one tonne of hydrogen can be as high as 11 times that of carbon dioxide. Ironically, the same advocates for hydrogen as a tool against anthropogenic global warming, rage against fugitive methane emission from oil and gas facilities as a major reason against continued reliance on natural gas.
Brown’s Gas, which is produced for use on demand and not stored, is also known as oxyhydrogen gas, is a unique type of gas that differs from hydrogen gas in several ways. One of its most notable characteristics is that it is implosive when combusted, as opposed to hydrogen, which is explosive. This means that Brown’s Gas is much safer to use than hydrogen gas because it is less likely to cause explosions.

This is because it takes so much electrical energy to electrolyzer water, but the H2 electrolyzer wastes the oxygen produced into the air, and Brown’s Gas incorporates oxygen with the hydrogen produced. Additionally, the maintenance costs of Brown’s Gas machines are significantly lower than those of H2 electrolyzer as cell stacks need to be removed and replaced. This makes Brown’s Gas an attractive option for businesses looking to reduce their energy costs and increase their profitability.

Brown’s Gas technology is comprised of pure energy, a clean, safe, cheap, non-polluting, and renewable source of energy created using water.
The inputs for producing Brown’s Gas using electrolysis are distilled water (H2O), an alkaline electrolyte like potassium hydroxide (KOH), and electrical current.
There is much-uneducated criticism suggesting that electricity is wasted being used in the electrolysis of water as the electricity could alternatively be used directly as an energy source without the products from the electrolysis of water.
Such criticism is false when it comes to understanding how more energy is created by electrolyzing water to generate Brown’s Gas, which is explained on our Brown’s Gas Technology page to contain pure energy, in the form of hydrogen known as protium (1H) and a super oxygen molecule.
